After raising $30,000 and helping to remodel libraries, build playgrounds, and kick start new programs in 2018, we knew we had to bring our Go Gig for Schools partnership back. We’re pleased to announce another successful year supporting students and teachers with this promotion. With the support of our customers and communities, we were able raise $25,400 for over 40 local schools across our service area in 2019.
During the first part of this school year, SC Broadband offered new or upgrading Gig Internet customers the opportunity to designate a $100 donation from SCB to the public K-12 school of their choice. According to our school officials these funds will go into their general funds and will be used for facility improvements, classroom materials, starting new programs, and augmenting educational opportunities for our youth.
We want to thank the many customers who designated a donation and helped make the Go Gig for Schools program such a profound success. As we look into 2020, the entire SC Broadband is looking forward to future partnerships and opportunities to strengthen our local schools and educational programs.
