SC BROADBAND

Service Alerts

  • This gray box only shows here in the editor but not on the live page. Faded updates are the ones that fold into the dropdown. Click Preview to see the live page.
  • New outage or maintenance.
    • Type into the card. Put Outage or Scheduled Maintenance in the label, then add the date, the town, and the first update with the time in bold.
  • Post an update.
    • Click just before the time on the top update and press Enter. A blank line opens above it. Click the blank line and type the new update, starting with the time in bold, like 9:05 PM Update. The top update is the one customers see. The faded ones go in the Earlier updates dropdown. If your new update comes out faded, it’s in the wrong spot. Click it and press the up arrow on its toolbar until it’s on top.
  • Take an update back.
    • Highlight all of its text and delete it. The live page skips the empty line, so the update below it becomes the top one again.
  • Service restored.
    • Change the label to Resolved and add the final update the same way. The card turns green on the live page.
  • Colors are automatic.
    • Nobody sets colors by hand. On the live page, Outage and Scheduled Maintenance show orange, and Resolved shows green. Here in the editor the card always stays gray.
  • Clear it a few days later.
    • Delete the text in the label, date, and town. Delete every update except one, then clear that one too. Never delete the card itself. While it’s empty, the live page shows “There are no service alerts right now.”

There are no service alerts right now.

Is Your Internet Down?

  1. Check the alerts above. If your area has an outage listed, we already know about it, and our crews are working on a solution.
  2. Restart your router. Unplug its power cord, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. Give it a full minute or two to reboot. Leave every other cable plugged in.
  3. Still down? Call 24/7 Technical Support at 435.263.0000 or text 435.263.0083. If you can, stay near your equipment when you call. We can often test and fix it remotely.

More fixes are in our Internet FAQ.
